NABP Call for Speakers
NABP/AACP District IV (Ohio, Michigan, Indiana, Illinois, and Wisconsin) invites individuals with an interest in pharmacy law, regulatory affairs, and the intersection with pharmacy education, to submit a presentation proposal for the 2026 NABP/AACP District IV Annual Conference. The conference will take place October 14–16, 2026, and will be hosted by Ohio Northern University in Ada, Ohio.
The conference brings together attendees from boards of pharmacy across all five states, colleges and schools of pharmacy within the district, pharmacists and pharmacies, pharmacy associations, compliance representatives, and other pharmacy stakeholders.
Presentation Proposals
Presenters are encouraged to submit proposals on current topics of interest to boards of pharmacy, pharmacy educators, pharmacists, pharmacies, pharmacy associations, and compliance professionals. Suggested topics are listed below; however, proposals on other timely and relevant subjects are also encouraged.
Presentation formats may include:
- Lectures
- Panel discussions
- Roundtables
- Interactive workshops
- Lightning presentations
Presentation lengths may include:
- 30-minute sessions
- 60-minute sessions
- 90-minute sessions
- 10-minute lightning presentations
Room setups will include crescent rounds with a projector, screen, and microphones available for all sessions. Additional setup requests will be considered.
Presenter Expectations
All confirmed presenters must:
- Confirm acceptance of the invitation to present in person.
- Complete all required continuing education (CE) paperwork for CE-designated sessions by August 1, 2026.
- Register for the conference by October 1, 2026.
- All presenters will receive complimentary conference registration.
- Submit a final PowerPoint presentation by September 7, 2026, for committee review and agree to collaborate with the committee on any recommended updates or revisions.

- UMPJE and pharmacy law examinations
- Ensuring pharmacists are practicing within legal and regulatory requirements
- Artificial intelligence in pharmacy
- What are we teaching?
- How is AI being regulated in practice?
- Practice initiatives possibly including:
- Rural health transformation
- Scope of practice
- Test-and-treat initiatives
- College of pharmacy enrollment and pharmacist workforce trends
- Creating and sustaining high-quality experiential rotations for students
- Emerging trends and public safety concerns
- Medical spas
- Peptides
- Black market drugs
- Health Information Exchange
- Updates on PBM reform and regulation
